Santa Barbara Castle

The official name of the Alicante Castle is "Santa Barbara Castle".

There are several ways for tourists to reach the mountaintop castle:

• by foot, via one of several pathways
• by elevator from Playa del Postiguet (Postiguet Beach)
• by tour bus (the Alicante Hop-on Hop-off bus)
• by car or taxi.

Attractions at the castle include a lookout tower, dungeon, palace and museum. 

Santa Barbara Castle is by far Alicante's most famous city landmark.  It certainly should not be missed.
