Elevator to Castle

For those who would rather not spend an hour hiking up Mount Benacantil to the Santa Barbara Castle, consider taking the lift.

For a couple of euros (€2.40), you will be transported by elevator from Postiguet Beach to Alicante Castle on Mount Benacantil.

Many visitors to Alicante Spain enjoy taking the elevator up the mountain and returning via the hiking trail that leads to the "Old Town".

Access to the Alicante Castle

The elevator is called "Ascensor al Castillo de Santa Bárbara" in Spanish.  It is free-of-charge to use the lift from 7:00 PM until 11:30 PM.
